Being the luxury new entry onto the Dallas hotel scene, the Ritz Carlton has been a recent favorite. Private parties can be accommodated in both intimate dining rooms and the elaborate ball room. With both the hotel and Fearing's Restaurant #1 on the Zagat list, there should be no pause to choose the best. The adjacent Fearing's Restaurant offers yet another set of choices.

Rosewood Crescent Hotel

Luxury and location immediately come to mind for this sibling of the Rosewood Mansion. The well-appointed salon and reception areas can accommodate any event up to 500. We love the Garden Room, overlooking the Crescent Gardens, for a lunch and the elegant Lobby for afternoon tea for friends. A 25 person Wine Room is a special space for an important dinner.

Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek

The Grande Dame of Dallas hotels has the character of its patrician roots plus the savvy oversight of the Rosewood group. Party accommodations are several, whether the small-scaled ballroom for up to 400 or one of the smaller upstairs accommodations, such as the Sheppard King Suite for a 70 person seated dinner. A new Alain Ducasse alum and Michelin-starred chef, Bruno Davaillon, has set the tone for a revival of French-insired cuisine.

The Joule Hotel

Cutting edge design meets historical preservation. The Joule, the renaissance of the 1920's First National Bank building, is a fabulous place for a smaller party. A stunning ballroom, adding the cuisine from in-house restaurant Charlie Palmer, makes the perfect setting for an 80 person dinner. Parties around the eighth floor pool, canter- levered over Main Street, make another unique scene.

The Stoneleigh Hotel

Dallas' stylish 1920's Stoneleigh Hotel has been totally renovated to its former glory as the "most beautifully and completely appointed hotel south of the Mason and Dixon,” as the media of the day recognized. Redesigned by Dorothy Draper & Co., it provides a dramatic and nostalgic environment for private parties. A Penthouse Suite has grand library, music room and bar and a small ballroom for memorable dinners and parties. Their Bolla restaurant has several areas conducive for private entertaining.

The Westin Galleria Dallas

Newly renovated and within the impressive Galleria shopping center, the Westin is a great venue for a special occasion, perhaps coupled with out of town guests. The new Second Floor restaurant features wine dinners and culinary classics developed by Chef Scott Gottlich of Bijoux. This would also be a great place to treat friends to a luncheon before shopping.

Warwick Melrose Hotel

Another fashionable boutique hotel with historical significance. There are a variety of private rooms for weddings and private events. The Landmark restaurant has a history of culinary excellence. Its glass walled room for 20 is perfect for a congenial gathering.
